ARCHIMEDES is designed not only to store and share health data – but to do so in a way that is inclusive, equitable, and impactful. It aims to do so through its commitment to seven themes embedded into its infrastructure.
Indigenous Engagement
ARCHIMEDES is committed to building respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, ensuring their voices and cultural perspectives are reflected in how data is collected, governed, and used.
Co-production and Knowledge Mobilization
We involve patients, researchers, and community partners in co-designing our platform to ensure insights and results produced from the work we do are shared and used by others.
Patient Engagement
With ARCHIMEDES, patients and caregivers will be more than just data contributors, they will be partners. Our team will work with patient partners who will advise on planning, evaluating, and implementing initiatives that align with our research priorities.
IDEAS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Social Justice)
From the process of data collection to the user interface, ARCHIMEDES aims to break down barriers and create fair and inclusive environments for all users. We aim to ensure that underrepresented voices are heard and reflected in all aspects of the platform.
Training and Mentoring
We aim to provide support and opportunities for learning, growth, and leadership for researchers.
Commercialization
Our team works to ensure that discoveries made through the platform can be translated into real-world innovations.
